Get a Summer Parking Pass Upgrade

UT Dallas Parking and Transportation has partnered with the Office of Admission and Enrollment to introduce a pilot initiative designed to help incentivize summer enrollment while enhancing the overall student experience on campus.
As part of this initiative, students who are actively enrolled in summer classes will be eligible to receive a complimentary upgrade to their summer 2026 parking permit. This program is intended to provide greater flexibility and convenience for enrolled students as they attend classes and access campus resources during the summer term.
Program Details:
- Students must be enrolled for the summer term and own an active UT Dallas parking permit
- Green parking permits will be upgraded to a Gold parking permit at no additional cost
- Gold parking permit will be upgraded to an Orange parking permit at no additional cost
- Students who already own an Orange parking permit and apply for a complimentary upgrade will instead receive a prorated refund equal to the price difference between a summer Gold and summer Orange parking permit.
To participate in this pilot program, enrolled students must through the Parking & Transportation Services website (see below). Employees who are enrolled in summer classes are also eligible to participate in this program.
Please Have Ready:
- Your UTD parking permit number (find it on MyParking)
- The year, make, model and color of each of your vehicles
- The license plate number (and know the state that issued it) for each of your vehicles
The deadline to submit a parking permit upgrade request for the summer semester is the summer census date for the summer term in which you are enrolled. Requests received after the deadline will not be considered.

How is eligibility determined for employees who are also students?
The program eligibility requirement is the same for any student registered for the summer session, regardless of employment status with UT Dallas.
Do employees need to provide proof of enrollment?
No additional proof of enrollment is needed to qualify for the summer upgrade program.

Students are welcome to file an appeal through the UT Dallas parking portal within the allotted time for any citation believed to be issued in error. We will review the specifics of the case and make a final decision.

The type of permit upgrade to be issued will be based on the type of active permit the applicant currently has at the time the upgrade request is filed.
