Accessible Cart Service, City of Richardson Shuttle, Comet Cruiser, Parking Office, Parking Garages
Multiple services will operate on modified schedules over Winter Break:
Accessible Cart Service
Accessible Cart Service will be unavailable from Saturday, December 21, 2024 through Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Students needing to arrange service for Spring 2025 must apply for service, and have their schedule approved, at least one business week prior to their service resuming.
City of Richardson Shuttle
The City of Richardson Shuttle will stop running after Saturday, December 7.
Comet Cruiser
All Comet Cruiser routes will operate on a Sunday schedule for Wednesday, December 25, 2024 and Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Route 883 East will reduce the frequency of its Monday-Friday schedules, visiting stops every 30 minutes from Monday, December 23, 2024 through Monday, January 20, 2025. This route will return to visiting stops with its usual frequency starting Tuesday, January 21, 2024.
Parking Office
The Parking Office will be closed from Monday, December 23, 2024, through Thursday, January 2, 2025, and will not be available for phone or email support. Messages will be returned when normal office hours resume on Friday, January 3, 2024
Visitor parking permits will not be processed during these closures. Visitors may park in Green, University Village & Canyon Creek Heights Apartments or University Commons Residence Halls parking spaces without a permit on these dates.
DART GoPass® requests will not be processed from Thursday, December 19, 2024, through Thursday, January 2, 2025. Processing will resume when the Parking Office reopens on Friday, January 3, 2025.
Faculty and Staff, please note:
- You must apply for a GoPass® TapCard by December 8, 2024 to have you pass delivered before Winter Break.
- All applications submitted between December 9 - December 18 can only be processed as GoPass® for your mobile phone.
- Any applications submitted between December 19 - January 2 can only be processed as a GoPass® for your mobile phone, and will not be available until January 5, 2025.
Parking Garages
The top levels of PS1, PS3 and PS4 will be closed at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, as well as the ramps which lead up to them. Ramps exiting off the top garage levels will remain open until Thursday, December 19.
Any vehicles left on the top levels or ramps after they close on Thursday, December 19, 2024 will remain there until they reopen mid-morning on Friday, January 3, 2025, weather permitting.
