Draw Temoc Contest

February 2 - March 2, 2025

The Draw Temoc Contest is an annual iPad drawing contest hosted by Auxiliary Services and sponsored by the UTD Bookstore.

 

Contest Theme

The theme for this year’s Draw Temoc Contest is “A Day in the Life of Temoc

 

Entry Period

The Contest Entry Period begins on February 2, 2025 and ends on Sunday, March 2, 2025 11:59 p.m. CST [Central Standard Time] . Entries that are submitted before or after the Contest Entry Period will be disqualified. The winners will be chosen and notified by Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

 

Winner’s Announcement

March 4, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. inside the UTD Bookstore.

 

Prizes

Prizes are sponsored by the UT Dallas Bookstore.

  • Grand Prize*: 11” iPad Air (128GB, Space Gray)
  • Runner Up: AirPods Pro
  • Judge’s Choice: HomePod mini (White)

*Contestants must draw on the in-store iPad to be eligible to win the Grand Prize. The entire drawing must be completed on the in-store iPad.

Contestants can only win one prize.

 

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

HOW TO ENTER

During the contest entry period, upload your original artwork to the online entry form and agree to these official rules of the Draw Temoc Contest.

Submission Guidelines

  • Please submit an original drawing of Temoc according to the Contest Theme. By entering the contest, you represent and warrant that you own the unencumbered copyright and title to the Temoc artwork you submit.
  • Artwork cannot use any trademark terms, violate University policy, be political in nature, including images of inappropriate content, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, or other smoking devices.

  • The drawing cannot violate any copyright. The quick definition of whether it violates a copyright, is if it can be recognized as the copyrighted character.
  • Artwork cannot contain any Artificial Intelligence (AI [Artificial Intelligence] ) generated artwork.
  • Only one (1) Submission per individual. If you want to modify a work you’ve already submitted, you can resubmit it through the application form as long as you do so before the contest’s deadline.
  • Submissions must be 4000×3000 pixels in size with 300dpi [dots per inch]  resolution.
  • Image format: PNG [Portable Network Graphics Image] or JPG [Joint Photographic Experts Group Image] .
  • Physical submissions, such as illustrations on paper, figurines, etc. cannot be accepted. All submissions must be digital.
  • By submitting your artwork, you give us permission to use your artwork for any promotional material, media purposes, and products.

Eligibility

The Draw Temoc Contest is open only to students, faculty, and staff of The University of Texas at Dallas. Must be at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Submissions must be original work created by the entrant and must not contain content created by a third party or violate University policy.

Winner Notification

The potential winner will be notified by email or phone. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these official rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the UTD Bookstore will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner judged from all remaining eligible entries.

General Conditions

In the event the contest is unable to run as planned, as determined by the UTD Bookstore in its sole discretion, the UTD Bookstore may, in its sole discretion, either

  1. suspend the contest to address the impairment and then resume the contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these official rules, or
  2. terminate the contest.

The UTD Bookstore reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in violation of these official rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.

Talent and Multimedia Release

By submitting your artwork and entering this contest, you hereby authorize The University of Texas at Dallas, and those acting pursuant to its authority to:

  1. Record your participation and appearance on videotape, audiotape, film, photograph or any other medium.
  2. Use your name, likeness, voice and biographical material in connection with those recordings.
  3. Exhibit or distribute such recording in whole or in part without restrictions or limitation for any educational or promotional purpose, which The University of Texas at Dallas, and those acting pursuant to its authority, deem appropriate.
  4. Exhibit or distribute any written documentation in whole or in part without restrictions or limitation for any educational or promotional purpose, which The University of Texas at Dallas, and those acting pursuant to its authority, deem appropriate.

Privacy

Information collected from entrants is subject to the UTD Bookstore’s privacy policy.
